In the end of 2006, a group of immigrant women gathered together to discuss their problems, anguishes and wishes as seniors. Due to my age, they refuse me. However, I became responsible for the creation of the visual image that would represent them.
How is to be a woman and look to the gender issues from a female point of view? How to not forget our role and, at the same time, open new spaces? Eight years have been gone, and their questions still remain current and relevant. The age range still is another, but now the approach is architecture. Being invisible today is a big irony, because we are so many and, at the same time, we barely come to light.

The Academic Center of the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism from the University of Brasília (CAFAU/UnB) was the birthplace of the collective Arquitetas invisíveis. Dozens of students from CAFAU/UnB helped and contributed with the collective since the beginning, in addition to sponsor the physical exhibit that occurred in November 2014.
